This is a VERY rare opportunity to be able to learn from Japanese Shojin Ryori Master within a beautiful, cosy and intimate kitchen setting at reputable restaurant, POMPEI'S in Bondi Sydney. This is a small group learning environment so that everyone will get equal attention and interaction time with Chef Toshio Tanahashi. Participants will receive “Certificate of Participation” by Zeecow Culinary Japan from Toshio Tanahashi. This 4-hour workshop is especially designed for existing Chefs and aspiring chefs, restaurant owners, students who are studying culinary arts and anyone who has an interest in actually learning how to make meditative food that has energy and the ability to delight people's heart. In this workshop, Chef Toshio Tanahashi will be imparting his wisdom, techniques and skills around working in the kitchen and the keys to cooking healthy foods that will nurture, uplift, nourish, heal and delight your diners, friends and family.

What is Shojin Ryori?
Shojin ryori is a form of traditional Zen cooking, a vegetarian cuisine that is also inherently plant-based, with roots in Chinese and Japanese Buddhist monastic culture.
Who is Toshio Tanahashi?
Chef Toshio Tanahashi is a master in shojin ryori, one of the oldest culinary traditions in Japan. Toshio Tanahashi is a great influence on the contemporary culinary scene in Japan. He has travelled the world, sharing his depth and expertise knowledge of Shojin cuisine, not only as a method of preparing food but as a way to interact with and show respect for our world and environments.
