Sydney Destash Market is a vibrant craft market specialising in second‑hand and pre‑loved fabric, yarn, and a wide range of craft supplies. This year’s event will showcase more than 130 stalls operated by small businesses, independent makers, and home crafters, offering an extensive selection of materials and creative treasures for every type of crafter.
Entry to the market is $2, and all attendees are encouraged to bring a bag of fabric scraps. These will be collected and sent for textile recycling, supporting our commitment to sustainability and reducing craft‑related waste.
In addition to the market stalls, we are proud to host a collection drive for Skate Ability, a small South‑West Sydney charity that helps people with disabilities safely access ice skating. Throughout 2023–2024, Skate Ability provided essential equipment, volunteer support, and coaching, and delivered free, supported skating sessions. Their work plays an important role in increasing community participation, reducing social isolation, and improving wellbeing and mental health outcomes.
At the market, Skate Ability will be collecting craft supplies to support their community of talented crafters with disabilities. They are particularly seeking fabric remnants (30 cm × 30 cm or larger), towelling, thread, lace, interfacing, stuffing, needles, pins, beads, and jewellery‑making materials. Donations of these items will help ensure their participants have the resources they need to continue creating and connecting through craft.
