September's Climate Social was a really fun time! Around 30 people from different parts of the climate movement came together to connect and learn new skills. Come along again in October to help us grow those connected relationships and build to make fossil fuels history!It's a choose-your-own-adventure style of event, with plenty of activities to opt into. Maybe you'd like to learn make-up for Move Beyond Coal's fabulous "Halloween Spooktacular"! Perhaps you'd like to try your hand at making banners in preparation for the People's Blockade of the World's Largest Coal Port in November!
The schedule looks roughly like this:
9:30-10am: Arrive, tea, craft
10-11am: Welcome & reflection-connection exercise
11-11:15am: More tea and snacks
11:15am-12pm: Body movement and communal improvisation to bring energy to your next action
12pm- Two-minute upcoming action pitch
11:30am-1pm: Red Rebel rehearsal
12-12:30pm: Food n chat
12:30-1pm: Action briefing
1:15pm: Set off for an action!

We acknowledge this event will take place on the lands of the Gadigal People. We pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise their fight to prevent ecological destruction since colonisation (which continues today) and we join their continued resistance when we stand up for climate and ecological action and justice.
