As World Blood Cancer Day on 28th May draws near, we find ourselves presented with a heartfelt opportunity to unite and extend our support to those affected by blood cancer. This is particularly close to our hearts as we rally in support of our colleague and friend, Alexis Field, who has recently been diagnosed with Acute Leukaemia (AML). In honour of Alexis, we are organising a charity walk around the Hoe and Barbican.
We will be gathering on Thursday, 23rd May, at 1pm by the Nancy Astor statue for the start of our 5k walk. Following our collective journey, we invite you to join us for a warm drink at the Pier Masters House. This event isn’t just about the walk; it’s a symbol of hope, support, and solidarity for every individual battling blood cancer.
We encourage everyone to support this cause by making a suggested donation of £10 to Alexis’ fundraising page for Leukaemia UK. Your generosity can make a real difference and bring us closer to a world without blood cancer. We also ask you to help spread the word by inviting friends, family, and anyone interested in making a difference.
Your participation and support mean everything to Alexis and to all of us backing this vital cause. For more details or to confirm your attendance, please don’t hesitate to contact Kat Archer > [email protected]
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Let’s make this walk a meaningful and impactful gathering.
