COVID POLICY: PROOF OF VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE COVID TESTSwung/TX is a WCS social focused on community, learning as much as we can about the dance, and moving forward. This social is designed for EVERYONE, from beginners first starting out to the champions in our scene. Our goal is to be a part of helping the Austin WCS scene regroup after COVID-19 and make it even better than it was before.
We are pleased to have Deon Harrell teaching our lesson before the social! Deon is a champion level dancer and is one of the co-founders of the SwingDiversity program! SwingDiversity looks to create an equitable and inclusive environment where community members can bring their full selves to the dance floor all over the west coast scene. We fully support Deon and his goal to make the west coast swing scene a much better place in the world for all dancers!
Deon will be teaching a workshop before our social, so come check it out! Basic knowledge of West Coast Swing will be required.
Becca Yasskin will be teaching an intro to West Coast Swing workshop for all of your friends who want to join our crazy dance and don't know where to start! This will be happening parallel to
Deon's workshop from 8:30 pm-9:30 pm.
