Summer Slam is always a hit and this year we are condensing all that fun into a one night extravaganza! Summer Slam is a low stakes - high fun poetry slam competition and everyone's welcome! We encourage beginner slammers and our seasoned regulars to take to the mic and blow us away in under 2 minutes! But it's not just for the poets... this is set to be a great night of entertainment so come along to watch the slammers battle it out with their words. You might even get to be a judge on the night!
Up to 20 poets will compete under standard slam rules: 2 minute time limit, original work, no props or costumes. Then, the top 6 will progress to the final round to perform a fresh poem and compete for the prize and the glory of being the 2025 Summer Slam Champ.
6:30pm doors open with sign ups open on arrival.
Sign ups close at 7pm and the competition will kick of shortly after that.

We will be in the Hetzel Lecture Theatre which is in the State Library of SA. It's the big fancy building right on the corner of North Tce and Kintore Ave. Feel free to message us for detailed accessibility information.
