General Rules
*HELMETS are REQUIRED to be worn by ALL competitors- regardless of age. We will have some helmets available if you do not own one.
*This is a CLOSED GATE event- meaning, you cannot run in/out of the gate. The arena gate must be completely closed before you cross the timer line.
*Age will be defined as the age of the rider as of January 1st, 2024. This will ensure the riders remain in the same division throughout the series. (For example, if you are 12 years old at the October playday, but turn 13 in December- you will ride in the 13-19 division in October. )
*Walk/Trot and Novice can cross enter into any other divisions.
*All Divisions can enter Open Division.
*Riders can share the same horse in the Walk/Trot and Novice divisions, but not in the others.
*Novice is defined as a rider in their first or second year of competing, that has not won more than 3 first place ribbons in a playday/rodeo/barrel race/etc. excluding walk trot or lead line events, the current playday they are competing in, or competitions where they are the only rider.
* Walk/Trot Division contestants will be disqualified if they break into a lope for more than 2 consecutive strides, or 3 total strides during the run.
*To qualify for end of series awards, participants must compete in 5 of the 9 playdays.
