Swords of Light return to the Balor Arts Centre with their unique tribute to Celtic rock legends Horslips, for what is now becoming their traditional first gig of the year. Continuing their mission to keep alive the legacy of Horslips music, they have added even more Horslips gems to their repertoire.They return after a busy year of gigs including their first English gig at the prestigious Nene Valley Rock Festival in Lincolnshire where they were greeted with rapturous enthusiasm by English Horslips fans, many of whom had never heard Horslips music played live before.
Swords of Light are fully endorsed by Horslips band members Jim Lockhart and Barry Devlin, who dubbed them "The Horslips tribute band of the future". They aim to recapture the magic of Horslips music played live. Join us for an evening of classic Horslips tunes such as "The Man Who Built America", "Trouble with a Capital T" and of course "Dearg Doom".
