Our Five-Day Adventure backpacking retreat is a tremendous spiritual journey in the secluded Tahoe backcountry. We will grow in our relationship with God and with each other. We’ll backpack on the first day to our base camp in the Sierra Mountain Wilderness where we’ll spend a few days out there, canyoneering, rock climbing and being with God. Then we’ll spend a day backpacking back out of the backcountry and to celebrate we’ll spend our last day river rafting (this is a class III so it is moderate) on the South Fork of the American River.While out in the backcountry, we’ll explore God’s Word in His playground. We’ll challenge ourselves to grow in Christ through quiet times, campfires, hiking, teachings, climbing and natural waterslides. Our adventure guides at Rock-N-Water will lead the technical adventure while our Switchbacks Team (NCCC’s Wendy Hinman and Natalie Demille) will lead the spiritual journey.
The dates for 2021 are August 8th-13th and we are estimating approximately $500, $419 for Rock-N-Water and the rest for food and gas to get up to Desolation Wilderness in the Tahoe area. This adventure is limited to 16 so sign up early!
