"Bardo en Nueva York" is a Uruguayan artistic projectwhere musicians Rodrigo Calzada, Gastón Pepe, and
Nicolás Soto come together to blend electronic and
urban music with Latin American timbres, creating a
sound that transcends borders, drawing upon their
influences and experiences in various musical styles.
The aesthetic diversity of "Bardo en Nueva York"
goes beyond a mere fusion of genres; it represents an
artistic vision aimed at connecting with our deepest
senses.
The proposal consists of a set composed of an
electric bass, two samplers (MPC) and synthesizers,
blending electronic music with
styles such as dub, cumbia, dembow,
candombe, funky, and hip hop. The objective is
to mix folk timbral elements and frame them
within a dialogue with urban music, creating
sonic atmospheres ranging from downtempo or
ambient to lively dance and celebration.
