About this Event
Get hands on with dowsing, aka pendulum divination. This ancient system of gaining insight has many applications, from its historical use finding underground water to finding lost objects and identifying ley lines. It's divination anyone can use, and the concepts are much simpler to master than other systems.
During this workshop, students will be able to craft their own wooden pendulum board (using stencils, paints, pens), try out different pendulums and dowsing rods, as well as learning the context and background of pendulums, includling some basic crystal correspondences.
Workshop is led by Bohemian House artists Blue and Rissa from Moonflower Scythe.
For guests age 12 and up. Board creation will include working with stencils, paints and brushes. . Appropriate for all gender identities.
Parking is available/free on-street or in any of the Ellicott City lots. Please give yourself ample time to park and walk to the location at Bohemian House, 8320 Main St, Ellicott City, MD 21043.
Restrooms are available on-site.
Food and drinks are not inlcuded, however, Georgia Grace is across the street with coffee, tea, and baked goods with vegetarian and gluten-free options. There are many other dining options in Ellicott City as well. All guests are welcome, but may be best for those are 12 and up ~ you know your child best.
Refunds are only available until 3 days before the event. At that time, all sales are final, as supplies will be purchased and kits assembled in advance. If you cannot attend for any reason after that time, please give your ticket to a friend.
The event would only cancel in case of severe rain or storms. Pleae check your email associated with your Eventbrite account. Event is indoors and will go on in rain, however should Howard County determine rain or storms may be hazards, we will follow all regulations about shutting down the event for safety. If that is the case, event will be rescheduled when the weather permits and you will get an EMAIL at the same email address you used to sign up for the event.
