Swingaree - Tea Dance Swingdance Social - Sunday 16th Feb

It's been a while, but SWINGAREE is BACK with a crowd pleasing Tea Dance on Sunday February 16th! Join us for the return of Leicester's favourite monthly swing dance social. Everyone is welcome, including newbies, seasoned dancers, and those who just want to watch and soak in the atmosphere.
The afternoon will feature swingtastic jazz era tunes, shiny wooden dance floor, warm, friendly dance crowd and a taster swingdance class for any newbies or those who like a warm up before hitting the dancefloor. Throw in some comfy chairs with tea, coffee, and snacks; what more could you ask for?
You'll find us on the 1st Floor of the Charles Wilson Building, University of Leicester, University Road, LE1 7RH.

Entrance is free. We will have snacks, but feel free to bring anything for yourself (and to share, if you wish).

LOCATION: We're based on the First Floor of the Charles Wilson Building, University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester, LE1 7RH. There are both stairs and lifts to take you to the first floor.

IF DRIVING IN: free parking is available on campus. Drive to the entrance on University Road (LE1 7RH) that is closest to Welford Road and let the security intercom (via buzzer) at the gates know you're there for a swingdance social. Follow the road up and turn LEFT at the mini roundabout to park closest to the Charles Wilson Building.
COVID SAFETY: To ensure that things are covid safe, we ask all dancers to not attend if you think you may have covid. Hand sanitisers will be available.
