Band will 'Swing into Spring' March 10 Free Merritt Island Concert of Big Band, Swing, Jazz & More
(MERRITT ISLAND, FL)-- Duke Ellington. Glenn Miller. Woody Herman. Benny Goodman. Frank Sinatra. Music from these legends of the Big Band era will have the audience dancing in the aisles, when the Community Band of Brevard presents Swing into Spring on Sunday, March 10 at the Merritt Island High School Auditorium, 100 Mustang Way (off North Courtenay Parkway, 32953). The 3:00 PM concert will include a treasure trove of big band, swing and jazz medleys to keep your face smiling and your feet tapping. A past winner of the John Philip Sousa Foundation's Sudler Silver Scroll Award for musical excellence, the Community Band of Brevard is directed by former military bandleader, Robin Kessler. Swing into Spring is free with no ticket required and no reserve seating.
