Swing in the new year to live music at the Reverie Ballroom!Anchoring the evening is Arnt Arntzen. This is a musician steeped in traditional jazz, and the deep joy of early swing. Raised in a household where music was passed down generation to generation, Arnt brings a sound that feels both effortless and deeply rooted. Trained in jazz and contemporary guitar, and now widely celebrated for his plectrum banjo playing and vocals, he specializes in the lively, expressive jazz of the early 20th century.
From his early days with the Hot Foot Five to performing with the Three Generations of Jazz alongside his family, to his current work in New York City with Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks and the Louis Armstrong Eternity Band at Birdland, Arnt’s playing carries history without ever feeling heavy.
This is swing music that laughs, sparkles, and swings hard.
