Swing Fix is a fun and casual Swing dance night for everyone!Every week from 20:00 - 21:00 our Swing Basics class is drop-in and suitable for absolute beginners. You can come along any week and there is no need to bring a partner. The class will get you social dancing within the hour!
Before the Swing Basics class, Swing Fix starts with a Fast Track lesson each week for different styles and topics, like Collegiate Shag, Balboa, or some of the standard choreographies like the Shim Sham, from 19:00 - 20:00. These are short courses usually over several weeks that build on the week before. We advise you to attend these from the start if you haven’t tried the style/topic before. But hey, you’re always welcome to have a go if you missed a class!
The evening ends with social dancing until 22:15, so you can put your new steps into practice and meet the friendly scene made of dancers who started the same way.
Dancing is an activity that can get the pulse up – make sure you are wearing something comfortable and breathable as it can get quite warm. We also recommend shoes with flexible soles and if the weather outside is very wet/muddy, perhaps an extra pair of shoes for dancing to change into.

Social dancing only: 5 £
Pay on the door - Card payments only.
Location: You can find us in the small hall of St Columba's Church, OX1 4EH. Access is through the Bear pub beer garden on Blue Boar Street (a bit hidden as it's the fire escape door!). Look out for our sign or follow the music.
