Come celebrate the New Year and try a new event with the Wilmington Big Band and Cape Fear Swing Dance Society. We start with a beginners lesson from 6:30 to 7:30 and then switch to incredible live music and social dancing. A great opportunity to try something new, listen to amazing music, and dance the night away. There is a beginners lesson included in the cost of the social that starts at 6:30, we welcome everyone to come and learn how to dance. No partner needed, no experience needed, come as you are!
Located in the Historic USO building in downtown Wilmington, at Orange and 2nd St
Ticket link is attached to this event to buy tickets in advance, tickets for the social are $20
There is also a Slow Balboa workshop earlier this day! You can purchase a ticket for that through the same link as this event if you would like to attend that as well. A full day pass is discounted to $50.
We suggest clothes that are comfortable to exercise in and to wear shoes that are not too grippy on the floor to make any spins and movement easier! Feel free to reach out or ask any additional questions that would make you more comfortable getting started with swing dancing or showing up for your first class!
