***NEW VENUE*** Please note that classes are now at the Masonic Building event space at 312 E College Street in downtown Iowa City (down the street from the public library).As we transition into fall, join the Iowa City Swing Dance club to review the lindy hop basics. We will review the swingout and practice transitioning from 6-count to 8-count moves, all while fine tuning connection to your partner and the music.
Thursday Lessons
Level 1 Intro to Swing Dance Lesson | 7:15 - 8:00 PM
Social Dance & Practice (all levels) | 8:00 - 8:30 PM
Level 2 Swing Back into Lindy Hop Lesson | 8:30 - 9:30 PM
$10 per evening | $5 student rate
This series starts on September 5th and ends on September 26th. We recommend attending the entire 4-lesson series because concepts and moves will build on each other throughout each lesson. However, drop-ins are welcome anytime, with the understanding that they may not get the most out of the lesson having missed prior lessons in the series.
