Join us upstairs at The Hop Inn on the second Wednesday of every month for a night of laughs at the Old Town Comedy Club Fresh Material Night! Comics from across the UK road-testing brand spanking new jokes!
Your headliner for our first show of 2026, and our anniversary show is ANDREW WHITE!
With “charisma to burn and an eye for sharp punchlines” (British Comedy Guide), Andrew White is an in-demand comedian, writer and radio host who has built a strong reputation as a name to look out for.
Andrew works for all the top clubs and festivals in the UK and is also a popular choice as a support act when he’s not touring his own work, opening for the likes of Catherine Bohart, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Jason Manford. His last hit show, Young, Gay and Third Thing, travelled all over the UK picking up critical acclaim, sell out performances and even an award nomination for BEST SHOW at the 2025 Leicester Comedy Festival.
Away from live work, Andrew has built up a strong social media presence (12m+ Views, 2m+ likes); launched an award-nominated radio show (Pulse of the Nation on FUBAR Radio), and written for broadcast shows such as Mock the Week (BBC2), Yesterday, Today & the Day Before (Comedy Central), It’s… Wagatha Christie (BBC 5 Live), and Julian Clary's I Don't Do... (BBC Radio 4).

- Some acts may be recording their own performances, however this will not include a front-facing recording of the crowd without permission.
- Any behaviour we deem untoward or too disruptive to the show will return in being asked to leave with the venue's policy on behaviour taken into account, also.
- You are welcome to take photos, we will be taking some on the night for social media purposes.
