We are once again running a folky stream as part of the Swindon Shuffle and our first event is our fabulous Folky Shuffle evening. This evening is, as always, free but we do encourage you to donate to Prospect Hospice either via the QR code on the buckets or by putting some cash in the bucket.We have some wonderful acts who are taking part in the Folky Shuffle - approximate timings are provided to help you grab a drink and a seat prior to an act performing. We also have a raffle (because there has to be a raffle when a folk club is involved) and proceeds from that will also go to Prospect Hospice.
8pm - Kick off with a couple of songs from the Swindon Community Choir

Chris Turpin
Chris Turpin is a well known and much loved member of Swindon's folk music scene. With his fine singing voice and wealth of repertoire, Chris will take you on a journey of land and sea with a set of rousing songs.
While Chris is performing solo at the Swindon Shuffle, he also performs as part of the shanty trio Friggit.
Feast of Fools
Feast of Fools is an a cappella folk quartet that hails from Wiltshire, Bristol, and Stroud. They cover songs from the past that resonate today and more modern folk songs, reflecting and weaving a rich tapestry of social perspectives and emotions.
Half of One
Geoff Roberts (fiddle) and Neil Mercer (guitar) have played together in folk band Sgo and dance band Cowshed Ceilidh Collective for many years, as well as spending many beer fueled hours musically sparring at folk sessions. In 2024 they started to put together a set of tunes and songs from a wide variety of sources including Sam Sweeney, Dave Swarbrick and Ric Sanders. Some haunting, some lifting, all great melodies played with skill and heart.
