The festive, family Lantern Parade will be the finale of the Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch On.The parade route will be from the Town Centre Christmas Lights Switch On event at Regent Circus to The Brunel Centre - where children can deliver letters to Santa.
Free lantern-making sessions will be running at:
- Broadgreen Christmas Lights Switch On: Tuesday 19th November 5-7pm
- Cavendish Square Christmas Lights Switch On: Wednesday 20th November 5-7pm
- Badbury Park Christmas Lights Switch On: Thursday 21st November 5-7pm
- Theatre Square Christmas Market: Saturday 23rd November, 10am- 4pm
Or children can bring a home-made lantern. Design suggestions will be posted in this event and on the library event page shortly. Lanterns will be illuminated with battery powered tea lights.
To take part in the parade, families should go to the meeting point by the Switch On event stage at Regent Circus at 17.45.
Safety note: Flammable lanterns will not be permitted. All children much be accompanied by an adult.
