A swim team evaluation briefly assesses a swimmer's fundamental water skills and safety. To qualify, swimmers must be able to safely swim one 25-meter lap of the pool, flat for 30 seconds and comfortably tread water for 2 minutes. This evaluation ensures the swimmer has the basic endurance and water comfort necessary for group instruction and safe participation.
