With Very Special Guest— Red Velvet Slide
From seemingly opposite ends of the earth, Chris Brenne (of Sweden) and Parul Vakani (born in India, but belonging to the culture off Exit 60 of the New Jersey Turnpike) are Red Velvet Slide.
Powerful vocals and strong guitar work create a progressive folk-pop alternative that is quite distinctive. Chris Brenne - guitar and vocals - is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Parul Vakani - vocals, keyboard, and percussion - was trained as a classical pianist and slid through college with a vocal scholarship.
Red Velvet Slide has been described by fans as "what if Sting were to mix it up with Sarah McLachlan."
