Directed by Gloria Evert and Amy BabcockThe Majestic Theater is holding auditions for Sweeney Todd: In Concert, a concert-format performance highlighting the powerful score and vocal storytelling of Stephen Sondheim’s classic. This production will feature minimal staging with a strong emphasis on music, ensemble sound, and dramatic delivery through song.
Age Requirement:
- All auditioners must be aged 18 years or older.
Audition Details:
- Auditioners will select one or two characters and sing an audition cut of a song from the show.
- A Google Drive folder containing audition cuts, character information, and additional materials will be released before the end of December for performers to review and prepare.
- Accompaniment tracks will be provided for practice and audition purposes.
Rehearsals/Show Date:
- Rehearsals will typically be held on Tuesday’s (6-8 PM) and Thursday’s (6-8 PM)
- Show Night ~ March 13th, 7 PM
- Show Night ~ March 14th, 7 PM
- Show Night ~ March 15th, 2 PM
