Swedish Language Program ages 8-12 Thursdays 2024-2025 (SF)
~ Day/time: Thursdays 4:15 pm - 6:00 pm

~ Dates: August 22, 2024 - May 29, 2025
Fall semester 8/22/24-12/19/24. Spring semester 1/9/25-5/29/25.
No class on 10/31/24, 11/28/24, 2/20/25, and 4/3/25.

~ Class description:
This course is for students who want to take their Swedish writing, speaking, and comprehension skills to the next level. We are working according to the plan of Skolverket and besides the language skills, we will also develop a better understanding of Swedish geography, history, culture, as well as the traditions such as Lucia, Easter, Midsummer, and Fettisdagen.
It is necessary that students understand and speak Swedish upon enrollment. Students should bring a snack to class.
~ September 16: Supporting Multilingualism parent meeting and virtual workshop: This school year we're excited to announce a virtual parent meeting & workshop, focused on Supporting Multilingualism. Your participation is greatly valued, and we kindly request at least one parent to attend the workshop on Monday September 16. The workshop is included in the school year tuition.
~ This program receives a yearly grant from Skolverket in Sweden.
