Hildur Höglind, songwriter and artist from Stockholm, Sweden, is coming back to the US for her second midwest tour and is making a stop at Forager Brewery, her very first Minnesota show ever!In the summer of 2023, Hildur’s first full-length album, Matters, was released and met with great reviews as well as radio play. In connection with the album release, Hildur went on her first USA tour with 15 shows in Wisconsin July-August 2023. The tour was a great success and in 2024 it's time to come back to Wisconsin and expand into both Minnesota and Illinois as well.
Carefully crafted fingerpicking patterns on the guitar and a clear, pure voice have become some of Hildur Höglind’s main attributes. It is evident that the lyrics are in focus when she writes her own music, but the melodies are not far behind; sometimes calm and ethereal, sometimes intense and grinding. Ideas, death, love and art inspire her songwriting and she delivers her songs with the greatest empathy and feeling. Hildur performs her original music as well as some of her favourite cover songs and apart from her own compositions, you can expect to hear renditions of both Springsteen, First Aid Kit and Simon & Garfunkel among others!
