The University welcomes UM Indigenous students, UM students and the greater UM community (staff and faculty) to this healing ceremony held on the Fort Garry campus. Inclusive ceremonies will be held throughout the academic year. Who: UM students and UM community
Where: Sweat Lodge site located behind Migizii Agamik (see UM Fort Garry campus map: https://umanitoba.ca/map/ ).
Parking is available in P lot located off of Sidney Smith Street, UM Fort Garry Campus and is free after 4:30 p.m. (see UM Fort Garry parking map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=1ZZ-vO7KSiOLtKUF107HAUWc6Lv2F8bhc&ll=49.80532493292833%2C-97.14360206551102&z=15)
When: Stay tuned to the Indigenous Events Calendar for more opportunities to attend Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, Sweat Lodge Preparation Sessions and other opportunities to learn about the lodge. People attending a Sweat Lodge Ceremony for the first time MUST attend a Sweat Lodge Preparation Session.
