Beverley band The Bay Horsemen of the Apocalypse have been invited to perform at SWANLAND LIVE SHOWS in The Village Hall, Swanland on Saturday 22 November at 8pm (Doors 7.30pm).The trio were named after their village pub The Bay Horse in Cherry Burton just outside Beverley, and where they all live. They have an enviable collection of upbeat songs and tunes that audiences seem to lap up, whether a self-penned gem, toe tapping tune or a timeless classic. Martin Peirson, Andrew Kneeshaw and Steve Peirson (no relation!) enjoy playing their mixed bag of great music and having a laugh along the way.
Singer & guitarist Martin Peirson added “We enjoy playing to audiences in and around the East Riding and beyond, and somewhat cheekily say “give us a bunch of people and we’ll entertain them! It’s sometimes hard to describe what we do, as our sets have a wide range of songs, -a bit folky maybe with our ‘acoustic’ instruments but quite upbeat, and plenty of things people will know!”
The Bay Horsemen have played at many festivals, village halls and venues including a sell-out Candlelight Session at Beverley's East Riding Theatre.
There is also a short support slot from THE CHERRY BURTONES – with their popular barbershop style songs- that always contain a few surprises!
Tickets (£7) for this community event are available by contacting [email protected], or by calling 01482 637085.
They are also available on the door subject to availability.
There is a licensed Bar and all are welcome.
