This Sunday, we’re going to San Clemente via Camp Pendelton. This route has the option to turn around at any point… Las Pulgas, the campgrounds, or do the whole thing! It’s up to you. If you do the whole route, the turn-around is Surfin' Donuts Cafe in San Clemente (73 miles). Remember to bring your valid base pass if you prefer not to ride on the freeway!
The goal is a steady effort ride at B and C levels. That means staying in zone 2 on the hills as well as the flats … a conversation-paced ride. No surging or attacking.
