About this Event
Join us for an informational overview on the SWaM Certification process and the type of certifications including DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) available to eligible small, women-, and minority-owned businesses who wish to participate in the SWaM Procurement initiative provided by Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity.
SWaM (Small, Women, and Minority Owned Firms) certification is one of the most powerful business tools you can use to grow your sales among state agencies, public colleges and universities, local municipalities, and private sector firms that utilize the SWaM database. Last year, the Commonwealth of Virginia spent more than $6 Billion on goods and services.
Presented by Angela Barber, Business Services Manager – Hampton Roads/Eastern Shore
