Get ready to rev your engines for the 19th Annual Bob McTaggart Custom & Classic Car Show hosted by the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) on Friday, May 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m at the SVCTE campus located at 760 Hillsdale Avenue, San Jose, CA 95136. This event is not just a car show; it’s a vibrant celebration of automotive excellence that brings together the most outstanding custom and classic vehicles in Silicon Valley.This is a call for all car enthusiasts and proud owners of custom and classic marvels to showcase their passion and stand wheel-to-wheel with the best of the best. More than 1,000 spectators attend the annual event each year, and they get to vote on their favorites in nine categories: best car, best motorcycle, best bike, best car under construction, best truck, best club participation, ugliest car, best engine, and best paint job in the show.
In addition to showcasing impressive cars, this event also provides support for SVCTE’s Student Competition Group SkillsUSA. Past events have raised over $10,000 to fund these initiatives. Attendees can look forward to a fun-filled evening of raffles, prizes, delicious food, and music, all in the spirit of promoting educational excellence and building community unity. Pre-register via Venmo (write “Car Show” in ‘What’s this for?’) by April 23, or grab your tickets at the gate, opening at 4:30 p.m., and remember, car entries are just $20, while spectators enjoy FREE admission—just remember, no pets please.
