About this Event
Tour the Dugout Ranch in Utah - one of the five partnering ranches on the Sustainable Southwest Beef Project. We will be showcasing some of the novel strategies under research in the project, including heritage Raramuri Criollo cattle. Other topics include highlights of various sustainability-oriented projects and studies that are currently being conducted at the ranch.
Due to the outdoors and on-the-move nature of this event, there will not be a virtual or hybrid option for attending.
A boxed lunch will be provided, please arrive with enough time to eat. Lunch begins at 12:30 pm and the ranch tour will begin at 1:00 pm.
Note: this is an outdoor event and there will be a combination of driving to sites and walking around a working ranch. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes or boots.
Please be advised that the terrain may not be suitable for low-riding vehicles. Due to limited space available for parking, we strongly encourage carpooling to the ranch.
