Join us for a conversation with Claudia Chamberlain from JFW, where we'll chat about sustainable wines and her experience as a sommelier.
About this Event

Join DC EcoWomen at The Urban Grape DC for a conversation featuring sustainable wine expert and sommelier, Claudia Chamberlain from Jackson Family Wines! This event will include a moderated discussion focused on the emerging sustainable wine industry along with a tasting of select wines for 21+ attendees. We'll also highlight Claudia's professional path in the wine and spirits sector and her experiences as an Advanced Sommelier and certified wine educator.
DC EcoWomen events are open to women, to those who identify as women, to the LGBTQ community and gender-fluid individuals, and to allies.


Speaker Bio:

Claudia is a Region Manager for the Mid-Atlantic for Jackson Family Wines (JFW) and a Wine Spirit and Education Trust (WSET) educator at Capital Wine School, based in Washington DC. She started her career in wine in the E&J Gallo sales program, working in both on and off premise wine distribution sales in North Carolina and DC. She then pivoted to spirits where she was the On Premise Sales Manager for Heaven Hill in Virginia before coming to JFW. Claudia holds the WSET Diploma in Wines, WSET Level 3 in Spirits, Certified Wine Educator (CWE) and Certified Spirits Educator (CSE) from the Society of Wine Educators, and is an Advanced Sommelier with Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS). She is a WSET certified instructor for both wine & spirits. She is a Master Sommelier candidate and a Stage 2 Practical Only student in the Master of Wine program.
