During our monthly Recycling Events, held in collaboration with the Unitarian Universalist Church of Roanoke, Sustainable Roanoke invites the Roanoke Valley community to drop off recyclables that the City and County of Roanoke do not collect for recycling. Sustainable Roanoke volunteers will sort them and send them off to different locations across the country so they can be properly recycled, reused, or repurposed. This is an excellent way to divert "trash" from the landfill, reducing public expenses, minimizing our community's carbon footprint, and raising awareness about the destructive consumption habits of our society.The list of items we accept can be found on our website (www.sustainableroanoke.org).
All items MUST be clean, dry, and pre-sorted before you drop them off.
