About this Event
Are you a Financial Advisor who has clients (or prospects) looking to align their investments with their values?
In our first session, learn about community investments that put dollars directly in the hands of disinvested communities through initiatives like affordable housing, climate resilience, small business development, microfinance, education, and more.
In our second session, panelists share how Shareholder advocacy and engagement is one of the most tangible ways investors can generate real-world change. In this session, you’ll learn about the tools investors use to create impact; hear stories about companies making positive environmental, social and governance progress, and share resources and ways to bring these victories back to your clients and prospects. Discussing issues that investors care about is an effective tool to help you attract, engage and retain clients.
Our final panel will a discussion amongst Asset Managers on investing through the Transition to a low carbon economy. Climate Change is creating a wide range of risks for companies, investors, financial institutions, and entire economies. Panelists will discuss the material Environmental and Social risks we face in this transition. The goal is to share the perspective of each of these firms. What data is used, how is it interpreted, and how does that translate to long-term competitive investment options for you to choose? What ideas can you come away with to better position your clients for this transition?
Following the panel sessions, we are organizing an optional site visit of a mixed-use and transit-oriented affordable housing project financed through public and private sector funds, including capital from impact investors.
