Lucknow Farmers Market, Tree Take Magazine, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Geetanjali Salon and Katwalk Academy Lucknow come together for a landmark movement in environment conscious creativity on Feb 8. The occasion also marks the 11th anniversary celebrations of TreeTake.
We are challenging the participants to move from fast-fashion consumption to conscious "waste-to-wear" artistry. Do you have it in you?

Venue: Garden Lucknow Farmers Market Spring Edition, Habibullah Estate Hazratganj
THE CHALLENGE: THE 90% RULE Participants must design and execute a complete runway look where at least 90% of the final garment is constructed from pre-existing materials upcycled from your own closet or thriftedOR handcrafted from natural, cruelty-free fabrics and natural dyes. Only 10% may consist of new notions thread, zippers, etc.
THEMES Choose One
Punarsrijan Reinvention Keywords: Reinvent, transform, restyle, reuse, repurpose, upcycle. Focus: Dive into your personal archives/closets to transform discarded items into high-fashion runway looks.
Back to the Soil Mitti Mein Mil Jaana Keywords: Zero waste, reduced carbon footprint, natural, sustainable, eco-friendly, traceless disposal, circular fashion. Focus: Designs that are entirely biodegradable or part of a circular economy.
Dharohar Heritage Keywords: Heirloom pieces, heritage textiles, slow fashion, timeless classics, handicrafts. Focus: Utilizing traditional techniques like Bandhej tie-dyewith natural plant/microbe dyes and celebrating long-lasting craftsmanship.
RULES AND GUIDELINES
Participation Categories:
Fashion Colleges/Departments: Must participate as a group under one chosen theme.
Individual Participants: May choose any one theme to design under.
Ethical Standards:
No fabrics or cosmetics tested on animals.
Use of natural fabrics jute, hemp, linen and natural dyes is highly encouraged.
