About this Event
The purpose of the Sustainable Airport Forum is to promote development of low carbon airports across China by sharing best practices, innovative solutions, and cutting-edge technologies.
The forum's point of departure is Shanghai’s decision to establish a new international airport, tentatively referred to as Shanghai 3rd Airport (S3A). Design starts in 2024, construction in 2025, and the last phase will be completed by 2035. S3A will set new standards for low carbon airport construction in China. Public planners, developers, suppliers and financiers across China see S3A as a key reference for future airport projects in the country.
Foreign companies are encouraged to become involved in S3A and other new initiatives. Low carbon airport design, construction and operation are still at early stages in China. Local project owners are eager to learn from international experiences and to integrate quality solutions.
