About this Event
On November 22nd at 11:00 AM, Mayor Levar Stoney, alongside city leaders, will host a press event to celebrate Richmond’s progress in sustainability and resilience, underscoring the city’s dedication to long-term environmental health and community well-being.
This event will introduce the Richmond Sustainable Design Standards (SDS), a newly adopted set of guidelines that establishes sustainable design criteria for all City-led projects and projects built on City-owned property. Mayor Stoney and the Office of Sustainability will discuss how these standards will help shape Richmond’s built environment with a focus on climate resilience and sustainability.
In addition, the Office of Sustainability will announce the second cohort of the Neighborhood Climate Resilience Grant Program and provide an overview of its recent accomplishments and key milestones from the FY24 Annual Report, including progress in implementing RVAgreen 2050, Richmond’s comprehensive climate equity action plan.
Join us as we celebrate Richmond’s strides toward a sustainable future for all.
