In this two-hour workshop, students will learn the basics of natural dyeing and explore Shibori, a textile printing technique that involves folding and binding cloth, then dyeing it with everyday resources like food scraps, avocado skins, spices and leaves.
Students will dye on top of a block-printed Onikas bandana as well as dye a garment of their own. You will leave with two new pieces and hands-on tools to prolong the lifecycle of textiles while learning about slow fashion, green washing and sustainability!!
