Come join us for a special luncheon with Myra Reece, Interim Director of the SC Department of Environmental Services (SCDES), who was recently nominated by Governor McMaster to be confirmed as Director. Established on July 1, 2024, SCDES was restructured from the former S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) as a standalone agency. SCDES is committed to protecting and preserving South Carolina's air, land, water and coast through Science, Service and Sustainability. In this members-only luncheon, hear directly from Interim Director Myra Reece about the Department's services, goals and responsibilities and how the agency works with stakeholders to help safeguard South Carolina's environment now and for generations to come.
