The Sussex Trail Runners Arundel Ultra 50k is a group run through the stunning South Downs, starting and finishing in Arundel. This social, non-competitive run takes participants along a scenic route past historic sites, including an ancient Roman road and villa near Bignor, before heading back through the picturesque village of Amberley. The terrain includes trails, grassy paths, and some paved sections, with rolling hills providing a moderate challenge.For a comfortable experience, participants are encouraged to have run at least 20 miles in training within the past three months prior to the event. Essential gear includes trail shoes with good grip, a hydration pack, enough nutrition and fluids to last the distance and weather-appropriate layers. This 50k group run is perfect for those looking to enjoy a day out with a beautiful, endurance-building journey through some of the South Downs’ most captivating landscapes.
We will plan to finish the route in 6-7 hours.
