Led by qualified life coach and circle facilitator Erin Lewis, Sussex Sister Circles are spaces for women to be together, decompress and take off the many hats we wear each day. Our Circles are safe, welcoming environments for women to support each other, share their stories and uplift one another.

Women have been gathering in circle in communities across the world for generations. Whether the purpose be to honour the time of a woman’s bleed, to discuss issues of importance to the community or to mark a rite of passage or changing seasons, circles have been spaces for women to be held, seen and simply be, for many thousands of years.

Women’s circles are still a significant part of life in many First Nations communities around the world, but in the West we seem to have forgotten them. Or have we? Do we not all know the joy of gathering with the closest women in our lives, sharing stories, seeking support and discussing the things that matter? For me, and I know for others too, there has always been a subtle but ever-present difference in how a space feels when only women are present. There is something about the way women sink into each other and connect more deeply when there are no men present.

That is what we create at Sussex Sister Circles - a space for women to rest in feminine energy and connect with other women. It’s as simple as that and we would love you to join us.

Please bring a yoga mat (or similar) and a cushion to sit on. Chairs will be provided for those who need them.

Please also bring something that holds meaning for you (a photo, piece of jewelry, keepsake).

Light refreshments (tea and coffee) will be provided.

Please arrive at 7:45pm for an 8pm start. The evening will close by 9:15pm.

We will be in the Browning Room, upstairs at the Heene Community Centre.

Erin Lewis holds a Professional Coach Diploma from Optimus Coach Academy and is a trained women’s circle facilitator. She works with clients who are ready to identify and break out of the patterns and stories that are keeping them stuck in life. She is passionate about empowering women and creating spaces where they can connect, share and support each other. Sussex Sister Circles isa new venture aiming to do just that starting in Worthing, West Sussex.
