Sushi Unfolded: A Vegan Demonstration & Tasting
Back by popular demand! An evening of flavour, creativity, and connection as Balarama once again shares the craft of vegan sushi-making. From delicate hand-pressed pieces to beautifully rolled varieties, you’ll watch each step come to life in an engaging demonstration that’s both practical and inspiring.
Balarama’s grounded and approachable style makes the process easy to follow—even if it’s your first time exploring sushi-making. There’ll be space for questions throughout, and plenty of tastings along the way—so come hungry!
On the menu for the demo:
- Hand-pressed sushi (Nigiri)
- Sushi rolls (Maki-zushi)
- Tofu pocket sushi (Inari-zushi)
Afterwards, stay on for a full vegan dinner and dessert, freshly served and enjoyed in good company—a deliciously relaxed way to spend your evening.

Balarama’s goal is to make food that feels nourishing, thoughtful, and easy to enjoy—like a home-cooked meal made with heart. With his calm, down-to-earth style, he makes even the most intricate dishes feel approachable.
