Polish your painting style, start to finish! Focus will be on capturing light and developing painterly techniques. Appropriate for all levels, oil and acrylic. Instructor demo will be in oil. Students will paint from choice of several instructor photos.
Bring your portable painting easel, equipment, chair and lunch. Supply list and directions to location of workshop in Fort Wayne provided after registration.
Susan Bunce Ritter is a contemporary impressionist oil painter living in both Northwest Ohio and Southwest Florida. She has won numerous awards for her plein air and studio paintings in exhibitions and competitions nationally. She has been a juried artist for Shadows-On-The-Teche and Paint Grand Traverse competitions since 2021. Additionally Susan is a two-time Best of Show winner for the Ohio Plein Air Society Annual Competition in 2021 and 2022, and was twice awarded Honorable Mention in the American Impressionist Society Online Juried Exhibitions of 2021 and 2023. Susan was featured in Outdoor Painter, December 2020 as well as in Venice Florida Weekly, March 21-27, 2019.
Susan holds a B.A. degree from Mundelein College, Chicago, Illinois, and an M.Ed from San Jose State University, San Jose, California. She is a member of The American Impressionist Society, The Ohio Plein Air Society, and The Athena Art Society of Toledo, Ohio. Her work is represented by Fuller Art House, Sylvania, Ohio.
