Natya Tarangini Hyderabad presents SURYA - one of our finest Kuchipudi productions as a part of the Kalaarchana Series. This piece was conceptualized by Yamini Reddy, choreographed by Padmabhushans Raja and Radha Reddy, co-choreographed by Yamini Reddy, artistically directed by Kaushalya Reddy and will be performed by the Yamini Reddy Repertory. This production draws its concept from the Nasadiya Sukta - the hymn of creation. SURYA traces the cosmic emergence of the Sun - the primal light from which all existence unfolds. More than a mythological retelling, it is a celebration of nature. The performance celebrates the Sun as the force that awakens forests, stirs oceans, shapes seasons, and sustains the delicate balance of all living ecosystems. In honoring Surya, the production becomes an artistic call to recognize our responsibility towards Prakriti - the natural world illuminated and animated by his radiance.
