The holidays can be one of the most painful times of the year for people who are grieving the death of a loved one or have experienced a painful loss of any kind. While others are celebrating, the bereaved often feel overwhelmed, lonely, and unsure of how to navigate traditions, gatherings, or even daily routines. We want to help you through grief with compassion, practical tools, and the hope of Christ. If you’re grieving a loved one, we would like to help you. You are invited to join our GriefShare Surviving the Holidays event Sat Nov 22, 1PM in the church office. (1855 Sullivan Lane Suite 160).
Here is what to expect.
1 The event begins with a 35-minute video that will help you feel understood and encouraged, with stories of people who have found healing after loss and practical tips from experts.
2 After the video, you will be given a safe, nonjudgmental space to share your experiences and feelings with the group—or simply listen. There’s no pressure to talk, if you don’t want to!
3 You will be given a Holiday Survival Guide full of tips on how to navigate the season, including coping with painful emotions, handling social events and traditions, and more.
We have free Holiday Survival guides for the first 15 people who sign up.
