Few understand the decline from fame and fortune better than Anthony Hutton. The former reality TV star emerged victorious from Channel 4’s Big Brother in 2005 when he was only 23 years old. Within days he was given a quarter of a million pounds through a magazine deal, and more money was to come his way through TV work and sponsorship deals. Yet, his time in the limelight was short-lived, and the money soon dwindled, partly due to his issues with alcohol and drugs, resulting in him entering a very dark phase in his life.
Anthony’s story mirrors other people’s experiences who have found sudden fame and fortune on the back of reality TV, only to lose it all.
This compelling documentary delves into the life of Anthony Hutton when the cameras stopped filming, charting the highs that fame brought him, the deep lows when it all dried up, and how he managed to pull himself out of the dark space he was in to build up the life he has today, including his remarkable initiative “Never Throw In The Towel” that centres around men’s mental health and helping others through dark phases in their lives. We will also hear from other reality stars and their experiences of reality TV and the impact it had on their lives.
To make this world premiere even more special, Anthony Hutton and Paul Suggitt will be in attendance to take part in an in-depth interview and an open and honest Q&A session after the screening to tell you even more about Anthony’s remarkable life and the making of this equally remarkable documentary.
