After the success of Odeon Richmond’s exclusive official Surround Sound launch of The Cure’s new album, 'Songs of a Lost World' we are introducing a monthly event called Surrounded by Sound.With a library of over 200 albums presented in 5.1, Quadraphonic and Dolby Atmos by artists ranging from ABC to Zappa, each month Odeon Richmond will highlight an artist’s surround sound releases.
The first artist featured in the series is David Bowie and we will be presenting his producer Ken Scott's recently released 2024 Dolby Atmos mix of 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars' along with the very rare 5.1 mix of 'Young Americans'.
Each night will include a listening session to the featured album/s on our dedicated surround system followed by a chance to discuss the album, the artist and your impressions of this particular mix.
Together, we will also choose what artists and releases you would like featured in future Surrounded by Sound events.
Admission for each event is $10 but a $50 membership gives you access to 12 sessions during 2025.
