As some of you may know, Mike is a veteran, and he has the privilege of going on an honor flight with other veterans who served during the Global War on Terror. They will go to New York City and visit Ground Zero. Here is surprise 1: Everyone is invited to this—> we need letters or cards for “Mail Call”. The letters will be given to the veterans at the start of his or her trip. “You may want to let your vet know you’re thinking about him/her, wish them well, ask them to take the time to reflect on their service and encourage new friendships.” These letters can be sent to these locations:

Or dropped off physically at Marettis Deli. This is his mom’s home address so it will be a surprise still. I need all the letters in my possession by September 15th. That’s just 2 weeks 😳!!
Surprise 2: the welcome home ceremony!! This will take place at the Hanger at Appleton Airport. Gates open at 11:30 and they are expected to arrive at 12:15. There will be snacks and drinks and kids activities as well as other veterans’ families and friends.
