About this Event
On June 18th we are kicking-off International Surfing Day (5/19) the evening prior at the Moxy Hotel South Beach with roof-top surf movies, cocktails and spectacular views of the ocean and the Miami skyline. We will be featuring two high-intensity movies that will fire you up to go surfing! Elude, an odyssey of a film that spans six locations featuring Noah Wegrich and Soft Serve, in which twenty-year-old Kael Walsh surfs with a reckless abandon and full throttle.
Every day, the Surfrider Foundation and its network of volunteer activist's, work to protect our coasts. On International Surfing Day, everyone comes together to take a moment to celebrate the waves and beaches that we all love. This year ISD is on Saturday 5/19 and the theme is “The Beach Belongs to Everyone.” For decades, Surfrider has championed to keep our beaches accessible and welcoming for all people to enjoy—regardless of race, socioeconomic background or gender identity. This International Surfing Day, we are celebrating the joy and excitement that the beach brings to all of us. Surfing is an amazing gift and the beach is an incredible place that should be healthy, safe and accessible to all people. As surfers and beachgoers alike, it is our responsibility to foster a vibrant, inclusive community that comes together to protect and enjoy this extraordinary resource.
Donation includes the movies, a reusable Surfrider stainless steel pint, one complimentary cocktail, reduced food & drinks specials by The Moxy, amazing Miami views from a stunning rooftop terrace, great community and conversation.
