The 13th edition of our world peace music festival Sur Jahan, hosted by Banglanatak dot com, will be held at Golf Green Central Park, Kolkata on 23-25 January. Known for celebrating cultural diversity and fostering global harmony through music, the festival continues its tradition of bringing together artists, experts, and music lovers from around the world.
In 2026 edition, fantastic global music bands will join.
Saucējas carry to the world the elemental, resonant power of Latvia’s oldest vocal memory—drone-rich polyphony, open-air calling songs, and the tightly woven multipart textures of Kurzeme, Sēlija, and Latgale.
Radiant Arcadia is a Denmark-based women’s ensemble born from the belief that music can hold many worlds at once.
Folker Band carries the musical soul of Hungary and Transylvania with a sound that is both earthy and electrifying. Angéla Hont
Vigüela brings to the world stage the wild, overlooked beauty of central Spain’s oldest musical soul—jota, seguidilla, and fandango.
Also we are very happy that music maestro Debojyoti Mishra has agreed to present a "Tribute to the great master Salil Chowdhury" at the festival.
Sidi Goma led by Sidi Sabbir will mesmerize the audience with their fantastic performance.
And Bengal music will include the Bauls led by Babu Fakir and the city folk music ensemble - Folks of Bengal will present the music of women (Debalina, Dipannita Acharya, Manaswita Thakur & Ranjita Chakraborty).
The festival is non-ticketed and open to all, offering both daytime workshops that encourage interaction between artists and audiences, and evening concerts that transform the park into a vibrant hub of world music. Sur Jahan regularly attracts world music experts and international visitors who travel especially to experience its unique atmosphere of peace and cultural exchange.
